Jenn’s ability to take your unique vision and bring it to life is inspired by people and their stories.
As a little girl, she remembers enjoying meals at beautifully set tables adorned with fresh-cut flowers, authentic German food, and classical music playing lightly in the background. During the holidays, she would intently observe her mother ironing fresh linen, setting the table with delicate china, and building the flavors just right in the kitchen. She spent hours creating an unforgettable experience for her beloved family to feel special and appreciated.
Jenn believes that the little details matter most. Although her roots are in floral design, she knows there’s so much more to your event than fresh blooms. It’s all of the little details that when added up, have the ability to give the greatest possible gift to your guests - an authentic and enduring memory to add to their own book of stories.
Our boutique office is located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. However, our work has taken us beyond our beloved mitten state to provide the Modern Day experience nation-wide with destinations such as Orlando, Naples, Daytona Beach, Chicago, Charleston, San Francisco, Newport Beach, Scottsdale, and many more.

Walk inside the distinguished Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, and you will find Modern Day’s beautiful event design boutique. The first of its kind in West Michigan, the space offers an opportunity for you to view gorgeous textured linens, letterpress invitation samples, fresh floral blooms, specialty event rental items, and tablescape concepts. It is here where visions are transformed into reality, and the spark of inspiration is ignited.
