This wedding day holds a special place in our hearts. They were one of those families that we worked with for over a year towards their big day, and it turned out to be one of the most magical days of the season. Mother Nature showed her full force and stormed for a few days leading up to the (tented!) wedding, but we hoped and prayed, and on the day of the wedding the skies cleared and misty rays of sunshine warmed up the golf course and created a fairytale-like atmosphere for Erinn & Joe. We are forever grateful for them trusting us with such a big day, and it will go down as one of our favorites of all time. Cheers to this new combined family, and a lifelong marriage of happiness! This wedding had it all... and by this I mean the most perfect couple and family we could ever ask for, a gorgeous fabric-draped tent with sparkling chandeliers, soft and luscious blooms, swirling calligraphy by Molly Jacques Illustration, a tear-jerking video by Coastline Studios, and of course these awe-inspiring pictures by Kai Heeringa Photography. When Traverse City is your backdrop, you certainly don't have to try too hard! Kathryn and Dave were married on a sunny August afternoon where the sun sparkled off the gentle waves on the lake. We were able to get some of the last cuts of peony for our special bride to compliment her gorgeous Monique Lhuillier dress. The reception flowers oozed elegance and old-world romance. We may be a little biased... but when the owner's daughter finally gets married, it's kind of a big deal! Olivia originally wanted a rustic-chic barn wedding, but in the middle of October in Michigan, we knew it was a little too risky weather-wise. Instead, they ended up booking the Imperial Ballroom at the historical Amway Grand Plaza Hotel, where they knew the service, food, and beauty was exceptional. We brought in some of that rustic flair with wood farm tables, pallet bars, a naked cake, real trees, and dozens of other small details. We feel so fortunate to have vendor friends across the nation, and in particular the beautiful Noor from Anna Lucia Events! We were overjoyed when she called us to design the floral for her brother and new sister-in-law's gorgeous wedding in Orlando, Florida. The team packed up, flew down, and enjoyed some sunshine while designing the most exquisite floral for this special couples' big day. The groom's favorite flower was the tulip, so they played a predominant role in the design, along with the phalaenopsis orchid - king of all flowers!
