Taylor & Nick: A French Vintage Dream

It's like we've won the ultimate lottery when we have a couple with impeccable, timeless taste! Taylor and Nick wanted their special day to reflect their pure and classic love story. They made smart design decisions to make an impact where it mattered, and to give their guests that "WOW" factor, without going over-the-top. Cascade Hills Country Club already has beautiful chairs and a neutral ballroom - perfect for a cream and ash-green color palette with accents of dusty french blue and mahogany wood tones. Enjoy every second of these immaculate photos from Rachael Osborn Photography!

Taylor was a picture-perfect bride in a Vera Wang gown, flanked by her ladies in that magical shade of dusty french blue from Amsale Bridesmaids. Textural ashy-green bouquets with cascading silk ribbons from Honeysilks & Co were just enough of a natural and feminine accent to complete the entire look - talk about bridal party goals! Taylor was even smart enough to select accessories that were beautiful enough to style with - like her custom Le Labo Rose 31 perfume... delicately sweet and dainty.

One of the initial challenges we had, was that the Bride initially wanted an elegant tented wedding. Ultimately, they decided on the ballroom at Cascade Hills, but we knew we needed to bring in those organic elements to help marry the two design plans - mahogany wood tables, fluffy olive branches from California, and cascading greenery garland. We can't forget about Taylor and Nick's precious pup featured on the head table! It wouldn't feel right without her there too, right?

Along with mixing up the round and long guest tables, we thought it was important to create a level of intimacy and warmth by designing a floorplan that not only looked great, but functioned well for their smaller guest list. Although Cascade has a beautiful built-in bar in the room next-door that they typically use, we recommended renting a custom bar and back-bar unit to place inside the ballroom. We are firm believers that it's important not to spread out your major areas of interest for an event... Think about if you're hosting a party at home. Where does everyone want to hang out? In the kitchen - wherever the food and drink is. It's the same thing for the bar at a wedding! It's also important to note that they booked the incredible Brena Band, and therefore, we didn't want to move the cocktails too far away from the dance floor. After all, everyone dances and looks better after a few drinks!

Taylor and Nick are truly a couple after our own hearts... they LOVE donuts almost as much as we do! So, of course they had to have a fabulously scrumptious dessert display featuring a variety of yummy donuts and other sweet treats. Of course, the treat baggies had to have their custom monogram from Modern Day PressHouse stamped. In fact, the whole wedding was as branded as possible - from seating chart, bar signage, menu cards, even the beer koozie favors!

There isn't one moment or photo captured from Taylor and Nick's special day that we don't cherish. All of the thoughtful details and timelessly elegant design details will go down as one of our favorites of all time. Cheers to these two newlyweds, and their forever love story!
